December 18, 2009Scott R. Bush (owner of Scott Photography, LLC)
My passion for this art came from two exciting events in my life which coincided; traveling overseas and my wife, Erika. While still dating, Erika invited me to meet her family in Hungary, which led me to purchase my first digital camera. The entire experience of a new country and culture thrust me right into the world of photography, introducing me to what I refer to as “my calling” in life. I began assisting wedding photographers, as well as freelancing as a photojournalist for local newspapers documenting sports. Initially, my photographs and name appeared in local town papers, then moved up to the larger daily newspapers (The Bergen Record, Star-Ledger, Herald News and Daily Record). As my resume grew, so did my qualification to be accepted into the prestigious Eddie Adams Workshop and to start my own photography business.

Mariann Szucs (owner of Blue Daisy Weddings)
I am a professional photographer, and I have been photographing love affairs, celebrations and rituals called weddings for over nine years. I love capturing the emotions and traditions of the special day and all the details weddings entail. I truly understand the importance of the wedding day and the responsibilities of the wedding photographer. I have an unobtrusive approach to wedding photography and like to capture the moments and emotions as they happen naturally where the couples’ true personalities show. I was born and raised in Hungary. I graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a B.A. degree in Photography and continue to learn through various photography workshops and conventions and also by working with other photographers across the states. I am based in New York City and I am happy to travel worldwide.

David Mielcarek (owner of Cinematic by David M)
Born and lived in Europe for 26 years I moved to US in 2001. I see the world from my own perspective and I believe it strongly reflects in my work. I feel, love and live photography. It is way more than a job, it’s a lifestyle, a mindset, a complete dedication. One of my recent clients said: “If I could describe David and his work in just a few words, it would be: breathtaking, exquisite, unconventional and diverse. He listens and understands his surroundings and the people so well.”

Scott Neumyer (owner of Scott Shoots)
I’m Scott Neumyer and I’m a Portrait, Pet & Lifestyle photographer from Central New Jersey. Since most people can’t remember how to spell my last name, I thought “Scott Shoots” would be the perfect way to get my passion across pretty quickly. Making photos that make you happy is what makes me happy and I hope that passion comes across in my work. I can’t wait to meet new people, make their photos, and tell their stories.

Neil van Niekerk (owner of Planet Neil)
Like nearly any photographer that is intensely interested in photography, my interest in this wonderful medium is quite diverse. I’m a fulltime professional photographer, specializing in weddings and portrait photography. I also present workshops on flash photography and lighting, and have written a book on flash photography. I also maintain a website – planetneil / Tangents – an educational resource for photographers that has been described by Rangefinder magazine as: “an unsual and informative website dedicated to digital imaging.” These articles on the website range over a wide range of topics such as flash photography and lighting, exposure techniques, digital workflow and other aspects of digital photography.

Preeti Desai (owner of Preetalina Photography)
Being a gemini, I have many varied interests and nothing seems to hold my attention for too long. Photography, however, is a simple pleasure that seems to have caught hold of my senses. It’s my passion now. My reason for taking pictures changes often. Sometimes it’s to document moments before they can be whisked away by memories that never remember. Sometimes it’s because I see random things in the world that are worth capturing. And sometimes it’s to express a feeling, that can’t be written with just words.
